Recorded webinar · 2 hours · workbook and assessments included
Is this you? You are exhausted in a way a weekend does not fix, you are shorter with people than you used to be, and the work is starting to show it.
What is going on
Burnout is a physiological state. Under long periods of pressure without enough recovery, the stress system stays switched on, sleep stops repairing what it should, and the parts of the brain responsible for concentration, patience and decision-making are the first to suffer.
Cynicism and detachment follow, then mistakes, and in legal practice mistakes carry consequences for clients, for the firm and for careers. Burnout develops in stages, and every stage is easier to reverse than the one after it.
This session explains why first. Why you are so tired, why you cannot sleep, why the stress does not switch off when the matter does. Your brain is doing exactly what you have trained it to do under this load, and once you understand that, the sting goes out of it.
Then it gives you the framework to act on it: which stage you are at, what is driving it in your particular practice, and a prevention plan that fits a legal workload rather than asking you to work less.
What you will be able to do afterwards
- Recognise the stage you, or a colleague, are at, early enough to act.
- Understand what stress and poor sleep are doing to your concentration and your decisions.
- Use practical regulation tools on high-pressure days.
- Build recovery into a legal week without adding to it.
- Assess burnout risk across a team, if you lead one.
